Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a highly respected facility in Brewster, MA seeking Youth Advocate Counselors to provides counseling to males between the ages of 14-22 in a Staff Secured DYS Program .*Only accepting male candidates due to being a male only population*Position Details:Location: Brewster, MADuration: 13 weeksFacility Type: DYS ProgramSchedule: 40 hours/wk 7a-3p Sunday-Thursday (Friday/Saturday off)Salary: $25The facility is seeking passionate, compassionate, service-oriented individuals to work in a staff secure setting with youth in the Department of Youth Services' care. This position provides a great opportunity to positively influence a youth's life by being a patient and supportive caregiver. The role is multifaceted and includes teaching, limit setting, advocating, coordinating care, and serving as a role model and mentor. Work as part of a dedicated team to make a difference in a youth's life. This entry-level position is a terrific way for those interested in careers in human services or education to develop their skills and gain relevant experience working with youth.Responsibilities:Coordinate daily activities for staff and youthSupervise direct care staff ensuring policies are adhered to and expectations are metEnsure safety and security, including security checksAssist in developing and implementing Individual Service Plans (ISPs)Promote teamwork among staff and youth, fostering a supportive environmentHelp youth identify goals and interestsCultivate a positive program environmentAssign and lead daily group activitiesServe as an advocate and role model for youthQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related fieldAt least two years experience with the populationValid Massachusetts driver's licenseSupervisory experience is preferredTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicableCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of agePlease feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding the positions.
