Duke Health Integrated Practice Duke Health Integrated Practice comprises more than 110 primary and specialty outpatient clinics, extending the reach of the Duke Health mission across the state of North Carolina.$10,000 Commitment Bonus & $3,000 Relocation Assistance for qualifying candidates!JOB LOCATIONDuke Cardiology Heritage - 3000 Rogers Rd, Wake Forest, NCJOB SUMMARYWe are seeking a Cardiac Sonographerto provide patient and provider support by using ultrasound imaging technologies to aid in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates proficiency by performing routine and urgent echocardiograms, including but not limited to 2-dimensional, 3- dimensional, Doppler, and Stress Echocardiogram, as requested by physician and in accordance with standard practices.Ability to thoroughly, and efficiently, evaluate pathology following current guidelines (American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), American College of Cardiology (ACC), etc.).Assist in the reaccreditation process and quality improvement program for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission Echocardiography (IAC-Echo).Analyze patient's medical record to obtain history of symptoms and necessary information for performance of diagnostic procedures.Communicates technical and patient care related information according to established processes and timelinesRespond to patient questions about procedures and equipment prior to starting the imaging process.Operate equipment necessary to perform all required procedures and to obtain optimal diagnostic recording; utilize ancillary devices such as selected transducers, digital networking system, off-line analysis systems as indicated.Attends required staff meetings and ensures ensuring continuing education requirements met to support professional growth and certification.JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSEducationGraduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.ExperienceNone required beyond above education/certification requirements.Level I - Must obtain ARDMS certifications as required by each entity within 18 months of employment.Level II - Minimum of two years' experience as a Sonographer.Level III A minimum of 4 years' experience within specialty modality in which they are seeking promotion.Degrees, Licensure, and/or CertificationARDMS/CCI certification in EchocardiographyARDMS/CCI certification within 18 months of hireBLS certificationDuke is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing employment opportunity without regard to an individual's age, color, disability, gender, gender expression,gender identity, genetic information, national origin, race, religion, sex (including pregnancy and pregnancy related conditions), sexual orientation or military status.
