Discover a career where your work genuinely improves lives and supports a mission that matters.Our MissionTo help people live a life of their choosing, regardless of age or ability.GT Independence has earned multiple awards for being an exceptional workplace, including being named a 2026 National “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.” We are also proudly certified as a Great Place to Work® for 2026/2027—a distinction reserved for top employers committed to outstanding employee experiences.Under the general direction of a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the Human Resources Generalist provides daily HR employee relations, training, and administrative functions in supporting leaders and managers in assigned Client Delivery Group and assist in strategy and development as appropriate.Responsibilities & DutiesEmployee Relations/ComplianceIntake employee complaints and completes investigations according to industry best practicesAssist in the collection of employee records in preparation for investigations, administrative proceedings, and/or litigationSchedule, coordinate, attend, and record meetings as required by HR Business PartnersCoordinate with Collective Bargaining Unit and representatives in pursuit of common goalsTrainingFacilitate established training sessionsMaintain training recordsManage employee movement in Learning Management System (LMS)Create content to support learning goals and objectivesAdministrationCreates and maintain employee records across systemsRoutes physical, electronic, and voice mail to designated locationsAssist in the preparation of standing and ad-hoc reports following established proceduresCorrespond with employees and support HR Generalists and Business Partners in addressing concerns as appropriateManages daily facility operations including inventory, coordinating maintenance and vendors, assisting in safety matters as allowable and ensuring overall operational readinessSupport projects assigned to Human ResourcesOtherOther reasonable duties as assignedRequirementsEducation/Formal TrainingBachelor’s degree requiredAt least 7 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degreeHuman Resources certification highly preferredExperienceAt least 4 years of progressively responsible HR experience and familiarity with recordkeeping, understanding and explaining personnel policies, and/or employee training preferredExperience supporting Collective Bargaining Units is highly desirablePhysicalAbility to work onsite in standard office environment and lift up 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds regularly, and 50 pounds occasionallyFrequent walking of 10 minutes or lessFrequent standing of more than 10 minutes but less than 60 minutesFrequent speaking of more than 10 minutes but less than 60 minutesFrequent use of standard office equipment including:Computer, Headset, Cellular Phone, Web Camera, Keyboard, Mouse, Electronic Access DevicesAbility to create, read, review, and analyze written and electronic recordsAll colleagues are expected to maintain confidentiality standards and uphold the mission, vision, and values of GT Independence.Our Human Resources team is driven by trust, autonomy, and—yes—fun.
