Geospatial Developer

Overview In this role you will join a mission-focused geospatial team in Chantilly, VA, delivering geospatial data products and web apps. You will transform open-source geodata with Python and ingest it into ESRI platforms to support intelligence analysis. You collaborate with government personnel and developers to create dashboards and cartographic tools. The work emphasizes scalable, customer-facing GIS solutions and continuous process improvement. ResponsibilitiesCollect geospatial data from open sources using Python and convert it into GIS-compatible formatsIngest data into ESRI-based web apps (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online)Develop out-of-the-box ESRI portal cartographic products, dashboards, and web geospatial solutionsResearch, design, develop, and implement mapping tools; align with client requirementsDeliver quality, innovative, cost-effective GIS solutions at scaleCollaborate within a geospatial team and interface with customers/partnersDevelop custom mapping tools using HTML, CSS, ESRI JavaScript API and Map Service Layers via PostgresSupport GIS applications and assist other personnel in their useWork with developers and systems engineers to solve problems and improve efficiencyManage projects with minimal supervision and participate in process improvements Key requirementsExperience with Python, JSON, SQL, CSS, HTML with JavaScriptUS Citizenship with active TS/SCI with polygraphBachelor or Master degree in relevant field with 4–8 years (BS) or 2–6 years (MS) of experienceExperience with ESRI ArcGIS including ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS ServerAbility to leverage AI tools for diagnosing and resolving technical issuesKnowledge of digital cartography, GIS, geospatial production techniques, and data formatsAbility to collaborate with team, take ownership, and discuss requirements with clientsStrong verbal/written communication and customer-facing presentation skillsExperience with Postgres and Map Service LayersFamiliarity with QGIS (preferred)Experience with AWS web development, deployment, and security best practices (preferred)Experience with AWS S3 (preferred)Active clearance requirement: TS/SCI with polygraphStrong collaboration and teamworkClear communication and stakeholder engagementProblem-solving and ownership mindsetPythonJSONSQL
