Duration:
4-year contract but Work will be assigned on a sprint basis. Whenever a sprint is initiated, you must be available to work 40 hours per week for the duration of that sprin We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in web application development, API integration, and GIS-based solutions. The resource will support priority sprint projects for the Aviation Data Analytics Warehouse (ADAW), including the development of interactive maps, spatial analytics, secure APIs, and responsive web applications integrated with enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop GIS-enabled applications, interactive maps, and spatial dashboards to visualize infrastructure, assets, and operational data.
- Integrate geospatial data from multiple sources and support spatial analysis and visualization.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs for secure data exchange between enterprise applications, external systems, and data platforms.
- Develop Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) with responsive user interfaces and mobile-friendly functionality.
- Integrate front-end applications with APIs, databases, and back-end data services.
- Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, data validation, error handling, and API security.
- Collaborate with data engineers, cloud architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions.
- Participate in Agile sprints, testing, defect resolution, deployment, and technical documentation. Required Technical Skills
- Full-Stack Development: Strong experience in front-end and back-end web application development.
- Front-End Technologies: JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and a modern framework such as React or Angular.
- API Development: Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, handling JSON, and integrating enterprise systems.
- GIS Development: Experience with geospatial data, interactive maps, spatial visualization, and GIS application development. Experience with ArcGIS APIs/SDKs or Leaflet/OpenLayers is preferred.
- PWA Development: Experience building responsive, mobile-friendly web applications using PWA concepts, including service workers, caching, and web app manifests.
- Data Integration: Experience connecting applications to relational databases, enterprise data services, and external data sources.
- Security: Understanding of API authentication, authorization, secure data exchange, and application security practices.
- Development Practices: Experience with Git, debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and Agile development.
