In this high‑impact role, you’ll lead quality planning and execution for new product introductions, ensuring structural, electrical, and mechanical systems exceed rigorous performance and reliability standards. Partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams, you’ll implement APQP methodologies, identify and mitigate launch risks, and drive continuous improvement across complex projects critical to GTI’s advanced energy and defense missions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities throughout new product introduction (NPI) cycles, including control plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, and quality metrics for flawless launches.Lay the ground work for standard Quality processes and best practicesCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to embed quality requirements early in design and process development.Manage supplier quality development and audits for both mechanical and electrical components and assemblies.Apply root cause analysis, 8D, and statistical process control (SPC) methods to resolve quality issues and eliminate recurrence.Support component and system verification and validation processes to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.Provide on‑site technical support during prototype builds, manufacturing runs, and field operations (extensive travel).Drive continuous improvement and lean quality initiatives focused on reliability and process efficiency.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality engineering or NPI launch role within a complex electromechanical or fabrication environment.Hands‑on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and related quality systems.Proficiency in GD&T, ISO 9001/AS9100 QMS standards, and process validation methods.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and testing data.Excellent communication, cross‑functional leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.Willingness and flexibility to travel 70-80%, including domestic and international assignments.Why Join GTI EnergyAt GTI Energy, we’re accelerating the move toward a reliable, secure, and lower‑carbon energy future.
