You’ll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated.Role ExpectationsServe as the primary liaison between the Owner, utilities, EPC contractors, and internal/external stakeholdersRepresent the Owner in meetings with utilities, contractors, and regulatory authoritiesOwn utility relationships and drive the interconnection process, including applications, data requests, and coordinationLead weekly project meetings and provide detailed updates, reports, and action trackingDevelop and maintain project schedules, tracking key milestones and deliverablesProduce weekly status updates, risk summaries, and monthly executive reportsMaintain issue logs, risk registers, and corrective action plansMonitor change control processes and ensure alignment with project objectivesReview and coordinate design packages at all phases (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC)Ensure alignment between utility HV infrastructure, EPC designs, and data center MV systemsReview equipment submittals, long-lead items, RFIs, and technical documentationIdentify design risks and provide recommendations to protect project outcomesOversee utility interconnection applications and permitting packagesCoordinate with jurisdictional authorities to secure approvals and consentsTrack progress of all regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with local requirementsMonitor EPC contractor performance, schedules, and construction progressReview construction plans, safety programs, and logistics strategiesConduct site visits and inspections; provide progress reportingReview and approve construction submittals, change orders, and contractor deliverablesOversee commissioning, energization, and handover of HV infrastructureEnsure completion of all owner checklists and turnover documentationReview as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final deliverablesSupport final project sign-off and closeoutRequiredWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years of experience in power infrastructure, substations, or utility-scale projectsExperience managing EPC contractors and large, complex construction projectsStrong understanding of utility interconnection processes and permittingProven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive project outcomesPreferredProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with data center infrastructureBackground in high-voltage substation design and constructionFamiliarity with project controls, scheduling tools, and reporting systemsPay Range $120,000-150,000/year Why Join K&A?People-First Culture: We put our people at the center of everything we do, creating an environment where your professional and personal growth is a top priority.Innovation & Learning: We encourage continuous learning and invest in your development through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.Collaborative Team Environment: We believe in the power of collaboration and working together to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and employees.Recognition & Growth: We’ve earned our reputation through uncompromising precision and a commitment to excellence.
