FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - PRAB
Field Service Technicians are responsible for the service of KMC Global customers and product lines. They perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, modifications, equipment start-ups, provide training and re-training in the use of KMC Global equipment. This position reports to the Technical Development Coordinator and Customer Service Manager as necessary.QualificationsDedication to excellence and a quality outputHonest, Reliable, and displays irreversible IntegrityExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsWell-developed organizational skillsAbility to travel – 50%-70% (US and International travel)Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsWelding knowledge Working knowledge and ability to perform high quality weldsWorking knowledge of PLC controls and logicHydraulic knowledge/troubleshooting beneficialHigh School education, technical training and 2 to 4 years of related technical service workAbility to remain calm in difficult situationAbility to adhere to Standard Operating ProcedureAble to complete service reports at the completion of service, to provide customer resolution.ResponsibilitiesThe following activities are required in this position:Promoting excellence throughout the departmentService PRAB & Hapman products at customer locationsProvide training and re-training in the use of PRAB & Hapman equipment at customer locationsProvide phone service and troubleshooting support from home officeProvide sales leads to Sales DepartmentDetermine parts required for in field repairsCo-ordination of service trips including travel plansAccurately communicate and discuss problems with customersDocument all aspects of Service work performed
