IntroductionThe Standard Components Engineer role is responsible for design optimization and manufacturability of all fastener requests. They will collaborate daily with fastener and design engineers to thoroughly understand the end use application of the designs, suggest the appropriate parts for their application, and drive the digital 3D/2D design and release of the standard component through to production use. This role will also interface with laboratories to ensure parts meet specifications and are performing fully in program applications. This is an engineering position, ideal for individuals who enjoy seeing their designed items come to fruition, working with their hands, problem solving, and contributing to advanced assembly efficiencies.Required Skills & QualificationsAdvanced CAD knowledge; CATIA V5 / V6 strongly preferredExperience with CAD software such as Catia, SolidWorks, Siemens NXAbility to create detailed CAD models based on high-level design descriptionsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailPrior work experience at client or in client's IndustryApplicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2Preferred Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with writing parameterized rulesets to automate generation of CAD modelsExperience working closely with suppliers to review and refine designsUnderstanding of industry specifications for component usageDay-to-Day ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed CAD models based on high-level design descriptions using standard softwareAid assembly design engineers in optimum component usageEnsure components function seamlessly with user reviews and manufacturing feedback taken into accountWork closely with suppliers to review and refine designsFor immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
