Clayton Services is searching for an Equipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Equipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift will be responsible for inspecting, preparing, tagging, and staging HVAC equipment to ensure it meets company and customer quality standards.Job Type: Temp-to-HirePay Rate: $20.00/hour plus OTBenefits: Excellent benefits available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with weekend availabilityEquipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift Responsibilities:Inspect new HVAC equipment for damage, completeness, and readinessApply tags, decals, GPS labels, and identification markings per company requirementsPrepare equipment for outbound shipment, ensuring it is properly configured for customer useVerify all labeling and documentation prior to shipmentOperate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered shop equipment safelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environmentFollow all safety procedures, shop policies, and quality standardsClock in and out accurately using the designated timekeeping systemWork scheduled shifts, including occasional weekends as workload requiresEquipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift Skills and Abilities:Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power toolsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environmentAttention to detail and quality controlAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsProblem-solving mindset with good judgmentCommitment to safety and teamworkEquipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior experience in a shop, warehouse, production, or equipment environment is a plusEquipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift Physical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand or remain active for extended periodsAbility to climb ladders as neededAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsEquipment Production Assistant - 1st Shift - Immediate need.
