Quality Manager

Growing B2B ingredient distribution company. This role ensures that all products meet internal specifications, regulatory requirements, and third-party certification standards before being released to customers. The company values operational excellence and is committed to providing high-quality products to its customers through meticulous supply chain and procurement practices.DescriptionReview and approve incoming product documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs), specifications, SDSs, and other regulatory paperwork.Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory standards, including FDA, FSMA, and state/local food safety requirements.Oversee and maintain third-party certifications such as Organic, Kosher, GlutenFree, and others as applicable.Investigate and resolve product quality issues, customer complaints, and supplier non-conformances.Lead preparation for audits (customer, third-party, and regulatory) and manage follow-up on corrective actions. Maintain supplier qualification documentation and ensure ongoing compliance with company standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, sales, customer service, and logistics teams to support business operations and resolve quality-related issues.Conduct continuous improvement of Quality systems based on metrics and compliance.Profile5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance, or Regulatory roles within the food, ingredient, or supplement industries.In-depth understanding of FDA, FSMA, and relevant quality regulations.Experience managing third-party certifications (e.g., Organic, Kosher, Gluten-Free).Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation and identifying discrepancies.Excellent organizational and communication skills. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP or QA systems.HACCP or PCQI CertificationExperience in B2B distribution or import/export of food ingredientsFamiliarity with supplier auditing or vendor qualification processesJob OfferCompetitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000 USD.Collaborative and professional work environment with growth opportunities.401(k) with company sharing program after 12 months of serviceCompany-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off (PTO)Work-from-home flexibilityMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
