Clinical Manager

Clinical Manager Position at Clarvida - CaliforniaThe Clinical Manager is responsible for directly supervising clinical staff and overseeing services at a designated site to ensure mental health treatment is delivered in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment. This role ensures compliance with company policies and government regulations while supporting individuals in achieving personal, social, educational, and vocational development through individual and group counseling services. Project RENEW provides personalized and recovery-oriented mental health services to children and adolescents (0-17 years old) with severe and persistent mental illness, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Working with a multidisciplinary team; children, adolescents and family members receive individualized goal setting, intensive case management, temporary assistance with housing, educational services, employment services, substance abuse services, skill-development groups, medication management, and community based activities. Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of clinical services within the clinic, consulting regularly with leadership to provide updates on program performance and needs, facilitating regular staff meetings and providing treatment team leadership, providing direct client care including individual, family, and group therapy, discharge planning, and communication with parents and referral sources, coordinating with external clinicians, medical director, and nursing staff regarding treatment, consultations, and medication evaluations, completing and submitting required reports, conducting utilization reviews and maintaining proper documentation, collaborating with Program Director to develop clinical programming and service delivery, auditing client charts for clinical documentation compliance, providing consultation and education to community organizations, agencies, hospitals, and county departments, participating in program development and assisting with complex cases and psychiatric emergencies, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries, adhering to departmental budget and assisting in budget development, performing administrative duties aligned with program needs, participating in staff and planning meetings as required, transporting clients as needed using a personal vehicle, and performing additional duties as assigned. Recovery requirements include providing the highest level of customer care, identifying and building upon strengths of clients, coworkers, and communities, supporting client recovery and wellness goals, fostering a culture that respects and celebrates diversity, promoting continuous learning to improve service delivery, utilizing best practices and analyzing services for optimal outcomes. Required qualifications include a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in psychology from an accredited institution, licensed LCSW, MFT, or clinical psychologist eligible to practice independently; minimum two years licensure preferred, minimum five years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, or mental health care settings, at least two years of post-licensure experience, direct clinical, case management, and group leadership experience, knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy, familiarity with Short Doyle preferred and first aid certification may be required, strong leadership, clinical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, intermediate computer proficiency, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively, valid California driver's license, valid auto insurance, and proof of education required.
