Join us and help shape what engineering excellence looks like at Topstep.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Product Managers and designers to architect intuitive, responsive trading interfacesLead frontend development efforts and provide technical guidance to the teamDevelop and maintain scalable React component libraries and design systemsWork closely with our backend team to design efficient GraphQL integrationsDrive performance optimization initiatives because every millisecond counts in tradingChampion best practices in frontend development and establish UI/UX standardsMentor team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing sessionsHelp shape the technical roadmap and future of how traders interact with financial marketsMust Have SkillsRequired Key Qualifications and Key Competencies 3+ years of hands-on React development experience6+ years total in full-stack or frontend development - we value the depth of experience you bring!Strong foundation in TypeScript and modern web technologiesExperience with state management (Zustand, Context API, or similar)Proven track record of building scalable, maintainable frontend architecturesEye for design and passion for creating exceptional user experiencesNatural collaborator who enjoys working with cross-functional teamsLeadership mindset - comfortable mentoring, reviewing code, and setting technical directionEnthusiasm for learning and staying current with frontend trendsTechnical SkillsProficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3Experience with modern frontend tooling (Vite, Bun, npm/yarn)Strong GraphQL knowledge - we're all-in on GraphQL!Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibilityKnowledge of frontend testing frameworks (Vitest, React Testing Library, etc.)Preferred SkillsBonus points if you have experience with:Zustand or similar lightweight state management solutionsModern frontend architectures (micro-frontends, module federation)Data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, or similar)WebSockets or real-time data streamingPerformance optimization and monitoring toolsTrading platforms or financial applicationsDesign systems and component library developmentGraphQL schema design and Apollo ClientAccessibility standards and WCAG complianceBun runtime and Vitest testing frameworkFrontend build optimization and CI/CD pipelinesTeam leadership or mentoring experienceCompany Culture & PerksTopstep is an engaging working environment which ranges from fully remote to hybrid.
