RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Float PoolLocation: Toledo, OHVirtus Healthcare Staffing is looking for a dedicated RN to join the Progressive Care Unit Float Pool at our partner medical facility in Toledo, OH. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work across various PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg units, providing comprehensive care to a diverse range of patients.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver expert nursing care to patients in the PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg units, adjusting your approach to meet the specific needs of each unit.Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement patient care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient response, and maintain accurate documentation.Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely intervention for any abnormalities.Provide specialized care for patients with renal, urology, and vascular conditions, including CAPD and CBI.Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.QualificationsExperience: 2+ years of recent PCU experience required.Licensure: An active Ohio RN license or compact license is required.Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.Skills: Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, renal failure care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and non-invasive airway management.EMR: EPIC experience preferred.ScheduleShift: Nights (4x12 Hours) 6:45 PM - 7:15 AMWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday for night shift)On-Call: Yes, for call-off coverage only (45-minute response time)Floating: Yes, within the service line and between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities as needed.Blocked Scheduling: NoLocals: No local travelers within 50 milesPending License: Not acceptedRTO: Greater than 3 days requires management approvalGuaranteed Hours: 36Hospital HighlightsLevel I trauma center and the largest acute care hospital in the Toledo metropolitan area.39 Total Staffed Beds in the PCU.Scrub Color: Navy or WhiteCharting: EPIC preferred.Parking: FreeTo ApplyIf you are a dedicated and adaptable RN passionate about critical care and medical-surgical nursing, we encourage you to apply today.
