Certified Investigator (Part-Time)

DescriptionCommunity Options, Inc. is an national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.We are actively seeking a part-time Certified Investigator in Binghamton, NY. The Certified Investigator conducts all investigations related to individual abuse, incidents, and other agency affairs as needed by the agency within the state required timeframes. This is a per diem - will be paid on a daily basis.Starting pay is: $25.00/ per hourResponsibilitiesConduct in person and virtual interviews and collect written statements and other supporting documentation pertinent to investigationAct as the point of contact for investigations and coordinate the investigation process, collecting information requested by the investigator, schedule staff interviews, and visit homes/programsSubmit investigative reports in a timely manner, and corrective actions plans according to the Justice Center requirements Knowledgeable of OPWDD Incident Reporting Management Application RMAConduct agency-wide programmatic internal audits and ensure that the agency is prepared for external auditsReview investigation recommendations with the QA/Incident Management Committee and respond to reports in a timely mannerInitiate and monitor the implementation of all QA/Management Committee recommendations and report any issuesInterface as an agency representative with law enforcement, state governing, and regulatory bodiesAssist with curriculum and conduct agency-wide trainings on abuse prevention, incident reporting and other regulatory/core training topics as neededMaintain all documentation securely in files electronically and in HIPAA compliant mannerEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigationMinimum RequirementsMust be a Certified InvestigatorBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent, and three years related experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and trainingValid driver's license with satisfactory driving recordCommitment to and knowledge of community-based support for persons with disabilities Working knowledge of management of an effective QA program, including training, monitoring, conducting, and documenting investigations, addressing violations, and monitoring corrective actions Ability to maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, regulatory/oversight agencies, and the general publicEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testingWhy Community Options?
