Job Title: Quality EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Quality Engineer, you will ensure that all contractual and regulatory quality requirements are defined and communicated for assigned customers and programs. You will support various departments to maintain control over receiving, in-process, and final product quality. Your role involves recommending efficient and quality-oriented processes and providing customer interface for quality issues and problem resolution.Responsibilities+ Collaborate with sales, purchasing, production, quoting, and contract management to establish quality procedures for meeting customer requirements.+ Interface with suppliers to correct problems related to purchased materials.+ Support manufacturing processes by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions to resolve product issues.+ Assist in defining and monitoring the quality management system and fostering an organizational culture focused on quality processes.+ Monitor personnel and processes to ensure compliance with company guidelines, policies, and procedures.+ Update area supervision regarding quality concerns and maintain necessary records.+ Properly handle and manage hazardous waste generated in the work area.Essential Skills+ Proficiency with ISO quality systems, quality engineering, root cause analysis, audits, supplier quality, and ERP systems.+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.+ 3-5 years of experience in maintaining production and inventory control standards in a manufacturing setting.+ Knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes, work measurement, and work standards.+ Technical writing skills with good documentation practices and attention to detail.+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.+ Analytical expertise with planning, problem resolution, and priority establishment capabilities.+ Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Project, and MRP/ERP systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and project a positive company image.+ Negotiation and conflict management skills.+ Experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.Work EnvironmentThe work environment consists of 50% desk work and 50% time spent on the floor. This role requires balancing time between office tasks and engaging directly with manufacturing processes.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
