Logistics AnalystThe Logistics Analyst is responsible for providing oversight of the strategic planning/analysis of functional areas including: receiving, rejected material, long term storage and work in process areas for government furnished and contractor furnished material and spares. Responsibilities include:Responsible for material backlogs including the prioritization strategy to manage the material backlogs as well as to resolve aging backlog issues and establish corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesOwnership of the strategic plan for prioritizing and assigning work in accordance with functional area needsDefinition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for area assigned including the ability to document and report performance based on KPIs.Understanding of material priority and communicating prioritization plan to teamOversight of inventory audits (Inventory Accuracy Level of 97.5%)Accountable to define and implement corrective actions in response to inventory accuracy auditsResponsible for plan to review & disposition excess materialSignificant professional interactions with various customers including:EB & SUPSHIP Program Offices, NAVSEA and NAVSUP, Operations, Planning Departments, Purchasing, various Quality Departments, Government Agencies, Newport News Ship Building, and EB Off-Site DepartmentsResponsible for writing, reviewing and dispositioning engineering documentsOwnership of business process and ability to draft and/or modify policies and procedures as needed to adapt to current business practicesChampion continuous improvement projects/initiatives and support meeting company goals and metricsOwnership of business process that supports material availabilityAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
