Quality Inspector

Advanced Volumetric Alliance (AVA) is a volumetric off-site building manufacturer that creates entire buildings in a factory environment. AVA designs, engineers and manufactures industry-leading full volumetric modular units for the multi-family apartment and hospitality industries in the Upper-Midwest in a 180,000 ft2 state of the art facility in Albertville, Minnesota. Job Description: The Quality Inspector will be instrumental in helping AVA meet the quality expectations of our customers and State/ local authorities by ensuring production complies with AVA’s Quality Control Program. This motivated individual will help establish systems and processes that ensure conformance to company quality standards, specifications, and applicable building codes, while maintaining a respectful but firm relationship with those they are inspecting. Continuing education will be provided with attendance and a passing grade expected. Responsibilities: Develop a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the contract documents including, but not limited to: plans, specifications, applicable codes, production drawings and technical details Conduct thorough construction document reviews and examine all documents for constructability and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Understand and implement the company QA/QC program Perform inspections by following the Inspection Checklist. Conduct examinations, witness testing of systems, sub-systems and components. Document and report results. Coordinate with Project Management Office to resolve deficiencies and technical/ code driven questions resulting from Inspections Support other efforts to improve the quality of the finished product and ensure quality is built-in first time not inspected in second or third time Develop a hands-on approach with problem solving, developing countermeasures, identifying root cause, and assisting in the implementation of solutions Provide constructive feedback in a courteous but confident manner Perform other related duties as assigned
