Position Title:Senior SAP HANA Data EngineerLocation:Orlando, FL (100% Remote – EST Hours)Position Status:Long-Term Contract with Strong Potential for ConversionPay Rate:$75/hourPosition Description:Seneca Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP HANA Data Engineer to support enterprise-scale data engineering and analytics initiatives for a large, complex environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on data professional with deep expertise in SAP HANA, ETL development, SAP BODS, Apache NiFi, and enterprise data warehousing.The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable data solutions, optimizing ETL workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and driving operational efficiency through automation and modern data engineering practices. This opportunity offers the chance to work on impactful, data-driven projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize SAP HANA database solutions and ETL workflowsBuild and maintain SAP BODS, Informatica, and Apache NiFi jobs and pipelinesDevelop database views, replicate tables, and support enterprise data integration initiativesTroubleshoot and resolve critical production issues while ensuring system stability and performanceImplement automation, monitoring, and operational guardrails to improve ETL efficiency and reliabilityConduct impact analysis, data lineage assessments, and support upcoming system and process changesDevelop reporting and analytics solutions to support data-driven business decisionsCreate and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and process documentationEnsure compliance with data governance, data quality, and data security standardsSupport enterprise data warehouse initiatives and large-scale analytics environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams supporting ERP, PLM, MES, and related enterprise systemsUtilize AI-enabled tools and modern technologies to improve operational effectiveness and delivery speedRequired Skills/Education:Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience6+ years of experience with SAP HANA database development and administration6+ years of experience with ETL tools including SAP BODS, Informatica, and Apache NiFiStrong experience with SQL, Hadoop/Big Data technologies, and SAP BusinessObjectsExperience developing enterprise data warehouse and reporting solutions3+ years of experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as TableauExperience performing impact analysis, data lineage, and data mapping activitiesStrong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practicesExperience supporting ERP, PLM, MES, or similar enterprise business systemsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience implementing automation and process optimization initiativesAbility to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment supporting EST business hoursPreferred Keywords:SAP HANA, SAP BODS, Apache NiFi, Informatica, ETL Development, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, SQL, Hadoop, Big Data, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects, Data Governance, Data Lineage, ERP, PLM, MES, Automation, Enterprise Analytics, Data Integration, SAP Data EngineerAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm — we are a trusted career partner.
