Job Title: Buckhoist Operator (Construction Elevator)Location: Louisiana State CapitolPay: $15/hourSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shiftsJob Type: Full-Time, Long-Term ProjectJob Description:We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Buckhoist Operator for a long-term commercial construction project in Baton Rouge, LA at the State Capitol. The buckhoist operator will be responsible for operating the exterior construction elevator used to transport workers and materials safely and efficiently throughout the job site.Key Responsibilities:Operate the buckhoist (construction elevator) to transport personnel and materials to various floorsEnsure safe loading and unloading of materials and workersMonitor weight limits and maintain balanced loads at all timesPerform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issuesMaintain clear communication with ground personnel and workers on upper levelsFollow all site safety regulations and OSHA guidelinesKeep the hoist area clean, organized, and free of hazardsAssist with basic site duties when hoist is not in operation, as neededRequirements:Prior experience operating a buckhoist or construction elevator preferredStrong attention to safety and detailAbility to follow instructions and communicate effectivelyMust be dependable and punctualAbility to work in outdoor conditions and at heightsMust pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
