Overview As Lead Data Scientist at BMW of North America, you will guide data-driven initiatives across products and domains, applying AI, ML, and advanced analytics to drive strategic decisions. You will work with large datasets from diverse sources, shaping enterprise-wide smart analytics and transformation efforts. You will build, deploy, and monitor AI/ML models while ensuring security and stability, and mentor junior team members. This role offers a chance to influence sustainability, risk, and P&L through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration. ResponsibilitiesLead analysis of business-critical data across products and domainsDevelop and deploy AI/ML models and train them as neededManage medium- to large-scale analytics projects using Agile methodologiesEnsure operational stability and security of AI/ML applicationsMentor junior data scientists and analystsAdvise on latest data analytics technologies and digitalization transformationsCollaborate with stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities for business needsPrepare and review SOPs and documentation for data science initiativesDefine new processes, tools, and approaches in data science and MLSupport cloud-based IT architectures for AI/ML systemsCommunicate with external leaders on data science and AI/ML products Key requirementsThree (3) years of experience as a Data Scientist (with Master's) or five (5) years with a Bachelor'sExperience with Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or similar visualization toolsProficiency in Python for analyticsAdvanced statistical analysis and machine learningExperience with data lake/hub technologies including Hadoop and cloud storageExperience with Oracle, Postgres SQL or cloud-native databasesExperience with AWS and Azure cloud servicesFamiliarity with Agile project methodologiesStakeholder communicationMentoring/leadershipStrategic thinkingPythonTableauAmazon QuickSight
