SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Location: Gunnison, UT (On-site)Full TimeReports to: CFOAbout The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in managing cost accounting, general ledger integrity, and month-end close processes, while supporting financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysisMaintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completenessPrepare and review month-end close entries, account reconciliations, and supporting scheduleAnalyze COGS, labor, burden, and overhead allocationsSupport development and improvement of costing models and processesManage credit and AR-related functions, including customer credit reviews and collections oversightAssist with financial reporting, including monthly financial statements and internal management reportingPartner cross-functionally with operations to improve data accuracy and cost visibilitySupport audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controlsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2–5+ years of progressive accounting experience (manufacturing experience strongly preferred)Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory accountingExperience with ERP systems (Infor VISUAL or similar a plus)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWhat We’re Looking ForSomeone who owns the numbers and takes pride in accuracyA proactive problem-solver who can identify process improvementsStrong communication skills and ability to work across departmentsComfortable digging into data and explaining financial resultsWhy Join UsHigh-impact role with visibility to leadershipOpportunity to shape costing and financial processesCollaborative, fast-moving environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits
