Event Security Manager – Baltimore / Washington, DC *CES Security, Inc.* is a locally owned regional contract security company with more than 40 years of experience providing professional security services throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. We are committed to delivering dependable, high-quality security services through experienced managers, supervisors, and security professionals who are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated *Event Security Manager* to oversee security operations at conventions, trade shows, and other major events throughout the *Baltimore and Washington, DC/DMV markets*. Position Overview CES Security specializes in providing professional unarmed security officers for the convention and trade show industry. Our Event Security Managers play a critical role in the success of each event by providing onsite leadership, employee supervision, training, and direct customer service. Events vary significantly in size and scope. Some assignments may require only one or two officers per shift, while larger events may require *50–60+ officers on a single shift*. The Event Security Manager serves as the primary onsite point of contact for CES Security and works closely with clients, vendors, event personnel, and security officers to ensure that operations run smoothly and professionally. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and manage security personnel during conventions, trade shows, and special events. * Conduct onsite orientations, training, and post assignments for security officers. * Continuously monitor officer performance and ensure compliance with client and company expectations. * Adjust staffing and assignments as event conditions and client needs change. * Maintain a professional and productive working environment while holding employees accountable. * Serve as the primary onsite contact for clients, vendors, event personnel, and CES Security management. * Respond quickly and professionally to incidents, staffing issues, client requests, and other situations that arise during events. * Communicate operational updates and issues to CES Security management. * Ensure that all security posts are properly staffed and officers understand their responsibilities. * Maintain a strong customer-service focus while enforcing security procedures and company standards. * Prepare reports, schedules, staffing documents, and other operational documentation as required. Required Qualifications *The following qualifications are mandatory:* * *Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.* * *Minimum of two (2) years of professional security experience.* * Previous experience supervising employees, preferably hourly personnel or security officers. * *Proficiency in Microsoft Office*, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications. * Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse workforce. * Ability to establish authority while maintaining positive employee relationships. * Excellent judgment and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. * Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. * Professional appearance and demeanor. * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. * Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude. * Ability and willingness to travel regularly between *Baltimore and Washington, DC*. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required. Schedule & Work Environment Event management is a demanding position with *non-traditional and frequently changing hours*. During peak event periods, managers may work extended shifts and several consecutive days with limited time off.
