You will ensure all assemblies meet strict engineering, quality, and regulatory standards across multiple aircraft production stages.Perform inspection of aircraft structures, assemblies, and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and specificationsUse and interpret blueprints, inspection manuals, and technical documentationUtilize precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify part conformityFollow and enforce Quality Management System (QMS) policies and proceduresVerify tools, gauges, and inspection equipment are properly calibrated and qualifiedInspect production processes and aircraft assemblies for compliance and accept/reject criteriaPrepare, maintain, and complete quality inspection records and documentationPerform and support nonconformance reporting (NCR) and documentation in MES systemsConduct process audits, surveillance, and quality verification activitiesInvestigate and support root cause analysis and corrective action reporting (non-disciplinary)Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and aerospace manufacturing standardsWork across equivalent or lower-level inspector roles as requiredSupport inspection activities in cleanroom and structural assembly environmentsPerform inspection of composite and fuselage structures throughout production stagesQualifications3–5 years of experience desired (willing to consider candidates with 2 years of strong, relevant aerospace experienceMust possess skills and knowledge to perform in one or more of the following classifications:Systems / Payload Structures MechanicAssembly Mechanic AFuselage Assembly Mechanic AUnderwing Composites Mechanic AMetals Mechanic AProcess Mechanic A3Ability to certify for Systems inspection functionAbility to assist in training others as applicable to job roleAbility to investigate and document Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action (non-disciplinary)Ability to determine and submit test results and investigation statementsAbility to perform process and hardware audits and surveillance activitiesAbility to perform all functions associated with Level B inspection requirementsExperience in composite fabrication and composite structure environments (787 program exposure preferred)This is not a rework-only project; support is needed to resolve production and quality issuesWork includes both:Cleanroom environment (initial barrel fabrication processes)Structural assembly environment (post-cleanroom operations)Certification & Testing RequirementsAll inspectors ( must obtain their inspection stamp within the required timeframe after training, as defined in initial onboardingCandidates must successfully complete the following QA qualification tests:Assembly Sealing (written and practical)Post Assembly Sealing (written and practical)Electrical Bond and Ground – All Meters (written)Electrical Bond Final Inspection (written and practical)Precision Measuring Tools (written and practical)Skin Quality Inspection (written)Required Training Courses (Must Pass)Researching and Creating an NCR in MESSolid Rivet InspectionBlind Fastener InspectionHex-Drive Bolt InspectionLockbolt InspectionBolt and Nut InspectionFastener Inspection on CompositesAdditional InformationWhy Join UsWork with one of the world's leading aerospace manufacturersHands-on role in aircraft structural assembly inspection and quality controlExposure to advanced composite and fuselage manufacturing programsLong-term aerospace manufacturing career opportunityCompetitive compensation and full benefits from day oneHigh-precision, safety-driven production environmentHiring ProcessPhone interview with recruiterInterview with hiring managerOffer and onboarding processBackground check and ITAR verificationStart your next assignmentThis role may also be referred to as:Assembly Inspector, Aircraft Assembly Inspector, Aircraft Structures Inspector, Aerospace Quality Inspector, or Airframe Inspection Technician in Wichita, KS.jsfirm
