Medical Assistant Position at South County Health CenterThis position is at South County Health Center for all areas in the clinic. In this position you will affect the productive and efficient operation of assigned clinic or department through timely and attentive administrative support. The medical assistant obtains and reviews patients complete medical, social and immunization histories and updates the information in the EHR. The medical assistant rooms patients and obtains needed vital signs and point of care, laboratory testing, notifying the nurse or provider of any abnormalities. Performs age-based screenings. Prepares for upcoming visits by checking for referral or specialty notes, imaging results, test results and refill needs and needed immunizations. The medical assistant will safely administer medications and vaccinations under direct provider and nurse supervision. The medical assistant is an integral part of our team. This position requires strong communication skills and a patient centered approach to care.
