Cost Accounting Specialist
The Cost Accounting Specialist is responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, investment analysis, OPEX budget management, month-end close.Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)Assist with month-end close and financial reportsManage and assist budgets for all departmentsAssist managers with yearly/long-term business planningMonitor intercompany transactions and perform reconciliation as neededHandle Warranty AllowancePrepare quarterly inventory valuationAssist external auditors with quarterly and annual audits by providing requested informationProduct Life Cycle profitability management for new modelsPrompt, regular, predictable attendancePhysical presence at work during all scheduled work hoursOvertime and weekend work as requiredAll other job duties as assignedBasic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.) Required Education & Experience:High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)At least 1 year of experience in Finance or Accounting fieldRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Knowledge of IFRS and GAAPAbility to organize and to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to research, evaluate, and resolve problemsGood written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelPreferred Education & Experience:Manufacturing costing experienceSAP experienceBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldWorking Conditions100% of work in office environmentOvertime as needed for monthly closing
