In addition, the Quality Coordinator will serve as a resource to the Quality Manager on all quality, process improvement and Food safety issues. This position reports to the Quality Manager.Your Mission:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Assist in managing external and internal quality issuesAssist in leading the corrective action processDaily supervision of quality-related activitiesConduct internal auditsDraft and review documentsSupport the Continuous Improvement program and processesBack-up SQF practitioner and HACCP coordinatorOversee the development, implementation review and maintenance of the SQF system, including food safety fundamentals, and the food safety planThe SQF shall communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF systemAssist in the disposition of all materials (raw, in-process, customer returns) on quality holdCommunicate with customers and company management on complaints and project activityPresent, train and lead groups as part of the process improvement eventsLead employees in the day-to-day operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivityMaintain all required logs and reporting documents and adhere to all safety regulations, procedures and policiesTrain, motivate, and mentor employees (both new and existing employees)Enforce Company policies, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Polices (GMPs) by ensuring employees understand and follow rules, address non-compliance on the shift in which it occurs, and document issues for further actionMaintain a positive working environment among employees and co-workersYour Profile:Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent and applicable work-related experience1-3 years experience in Quality Management Systems / Food Safety requiredExperience in Document ControlPrevious Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma management or other relevant continuous improvement methods preferredMust complete and pass the HACCP course and have SQF practitioner trainingIndustrial Safety Training preferredKnowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to changing organizational and operational needsAbility to travel as required, local and/or domesticSAP knowledge and technical training is preferredOur Offer:Comprehensive base salaryFull Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401k Retirement Savings Plan, fully vested and company matchAn interesting job within the packaging & paper industryOpportunities for professional growthGet in touch:We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
