Field Service TechnicianLocation: Crystal Lake, IL (when not traveling)Pay: 35/hrLooking for More Than Just a Shop Floor?If you enjoy troubleshooting industrial machinery, solving problems in the field, and working hands-on with electrical and mechanical systems, this could be the opportunity you're looking for.We are seeking two Field Service Technicians to join a growing team supporting industrial equipment installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support throughout North America and internationally. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, overtime opportunities, and working directly with customers to keep critical equipment operating efficiently.What You'll DoTroubleshoot and repair industrial machinery at customer facilities and occasionally from the Crystal Lake office.Diagnose electrical, mechanical, PLC, and control system issues.Perform preventative maintenance inspections and equipment upgrades.Assist with equipment testing, startup, commissioning, and tuning.Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance.Document service activities, findings, and recommendations.Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customer Service teams to resolve technical issues.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.Provide feedback on equipment performance and opportunities for improvement.Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.Travel ExpectationsInitial training period of approximately 6 months based in Crystal Lake.Following training, expect 100% travel throughout the United States and internationally.Typical travel assignments range from 1 to 3 weeks at a time.Travel schedules are communicated as far in advance as possible, often at least one week before departure.International travel opportunities are available, and assistance will be provided in obtaining a passport if needed.Compensation & Travel BenefitsSignificant overtime available, averaging approximately 15+ hours per week.Company-issued corporate credit card.Dedicated travel coordinator handles travel arrangements.All work-related travel time is paid.Mileage reimbursement when using a personal vehicle.Daily per diem allowance for meals and incidental expenses.Comprehensive benefits package.What We're Looking ForExperience troubleshooting industrial machinery in manufacturing, automation, processing, or similar environments.Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment.Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs.Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules.Preferred ExperienceIndustrial automation equipmentControls systems and PLC troubleshootingMechanical power transmission systemsElectrical controls and motorsField service or maintenance technician experienceWhy Consider This Opportunity?This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, travel, and hands-on technical work.
