This individual will operate at the intersection of software engineering and data architecture, helping to deliver high-performing, scalable solutions that rely on well-structured and reliable data foundations.This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in complex environments where both application logic and data design are equally critical to success.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the end-to-end delivery of software solutions, from concept through production supportEngineer backend services and data-driven applications that handle high-volume transactions and reporting needsDesign, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas for OLTP and OLAP workloads.Write SQL/PL code (stored procedures, functions, triggers, views) and reusable data access components.Develop reusable services and interfaces that enable seamless communication between systemsEvaluate and refine system designs to improve performance, resiliency, and scalabilityDocument system behavior, data flows, and technical designs for ongoing support and knowledge sharingEnforce secure development practices to safeguard sensitive data and system accessEstablish and maintain automated validation processes to ensure application and data accuracyCoordinate application releases, including versioning strategies and database change managementInvestigate and resolve production issues while identifying opportunities for system enhancementsContinuously assess system performance and implement improvements across application and data layersInfluence technical direction by recommending tools, frameworks, and architectural improvementsSupport team growth through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and adherence to engineering standardsRequired QualificationsDeep understanding of database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL, along with exposure to non-relational systemsExtensive experience building and supporting full-stack applications in enterprise environmentsProficiency with backend technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, or .NET ecosystemsStrong front-end development capabilities using frameworks such as Angular or ReactExpertise in writing and optimizing complex database queries and data processing logicExperience designing data structures that support both operational systems and analytical use casesFamiliarity with modern data integration approaches and pipeline developmentExperience working with container-based deployments and distributed system architecturesKnowledge of automated build, test, and deployment processes within CI/CD pipelinesStrong awareness of data protection, access control, and secure coding methodologiesAbility to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholdersBachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experiencePreferred ExperienceExposure to cloud-enabled data platforms and hybrid infrastructure environmentsExperience supporting systems with significant scale or data complexityFamiliarity with regulated environments requiring strict data governanceBackground in optimizing application and database performance in production settingsNext StepsNo C2C, relocation, or sponsorship for this role.For finer details on how eNGINE can impact your career, apply today!
