Production Operator 2Millerbernd Manufacturing is looking for a Production Operator 2 to join our 2nd shift team within the Circular Products (CP) business unit in Sauk Rapids. This Production Operator 2 is responsible for various production tasks in the manufacturing of various metal products in accordance with product specifications.Job Title: Production Operator 2Location: onsite in Sauk Rapids, MNSalary Range: $21.46 25.25 per hour (Non-Exempt) (In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)Shift Schedule: 2nd shift Monday Thursday 3pm 1amShift Differential: 2nd shift $1.50/hourAs a Production Operator 2, you will:Operate various standard and single purpose machines or hand and power tools to remove undesirable materialPerform visual and dimensional checking using various gauges and instrumentsReport defects and machine or tool malfunctionsPerform clean-up, grinding, drilling, blast booth, straightening, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasksPerforms Hot Stick galvanize repair and fixes dents using Porta Power as neededUse hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as requiredExamine finished products for defectsAccurately label all parts for routing to next operationActs as area expert for monitoring the production board and internal paperwork to perform the tasks in the designated sequenceAchieves and maintains crane certification based on area needsOperates the overhead crane to load and unload polesBundles polesParticipate and support Continuous Improvement initiativesMaintain 5S guidelinesCommunicate relevant information and concerns positively and effectively to others in timely mannerMay train employeesCross-functionally trainedRole Qualifications as a Production Operator 2:Experience with mechanical machines or devices, preferring electrical and/or mechanical assemblyExperience using an Overhead Crane to move materialsHigh attention to detailSkill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skillsSkill to operate various precision measuring tools and hand toolsAbility to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating instructions, procedures and printsAbility to perform basic shop math functionsAbility to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in EnglishAbility to electronically record production informationAbility to work with others as part of a high-performance teamAbility to adapt to changing work prioritiesAble to work under limited supervisionMay be required to keep and maintain crane certificationBasic knowledge in interpreting prints and drawingsPhysical Demands:This position requires the individual to wear and work in company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 50lbs. And, if applicable, can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment with the use of an overhead crane and/or forklift. Must be able to work in, on, or around equipment and machinery.
