A&P MECHANICS - MRTHQ Aero is currently recruiting for A&P MECHANICS- MRT in BRIDGEPORT, WVJob Summary:Recruiting a specialized Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) or A&P mechanic who travels to the location of an aircraft to perform repairs, inspections, and maintenance, often in urgent Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations. Based in Bridgeport WV must be willing to travel at a moment's notice. Travel will include all US states.You will work independently or in small teams at airports, remote airstrips, or customer hangars to get aircraft back into service quickly.Here is a detailed breakdown of the mobile repair team aviation job description based on industry standards:Responsibilities:AOG & Field Support: Travel to domestic and international locations on short notice to support AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations, requiring high availability.Maintenance & Repair: Perform on-wing engine inspections, structural repairs, troubleshooting, and component replacements (e.g., engines, modules, avionics, composites).Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance complies with FAA regulations and company procedures, including accurate logbook entries and technical reports.Customer Service: Act as a direct representative of the company, providing professional communication and technical solutions to customers in the field.Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex mechanical or electrical issues, including performing engine diagnostics and software upgrades.Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:Certifications: Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is required.Experience: 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance, often with specific experience on corporate, regional, or specific manufacturer jet models (e.g., Dassault, Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney).Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, proficiency in reading technical manuals/blueprints, and experience with structural/mechanical repairs.Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended, often last-minute, travel (sometimes up to 90% travel).Independence: Ability to work alone in varied, sometimes harsh, outdoor environments.Documentation: Experience with computer-based maintenance tracking software.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Subject to noise in excess of 85 dBBe able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders and/or service stands.May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment.Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator.Job required participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program.Normal or corrected hearing.Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds.Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected.DISCLAIMERThis job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected by the successful applicant.
