PROJECT MANAGER - ONSITE - MADISON, WIOur client is a Wisconsin-based renewable energy engineering and construction company specializing in turnkey anaerobic digestion and renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities. The organization partners with industrial, agricultural, municipal, and food processing clients to transform organic waste streams into clean, sustainable energy solutions. Their projects support waste diversion, carbon reduction, and the production of renewable energy, vehicle fuel, and other valuable byproducts.This is an opportunity to join a growing industry leader at the forefront of the clean energy transition, working on complex, highly visible infrastructure projects across the United States.Position Overview:We are seeking a hands-on Project Manager to lead industrial renewable energy projects from kickoff through commissioning and installation. This individual will oversee project execution, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of engineering knowledge, construction management experience, and leadership capability within industrial process, utility, wastewater, energy, or related environments.Key Responsibilities:Lead projects from initial kickoff through installation, startup, and closeoutEstablish and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and performance expectationsDevelop and maintain detailed project work plans and timelinesCoordinate engineering, construction, procurement, contractors, and field teamsReview construction and engineering documentation for completeness and accuracyManage project risks, change orders, and project reportingServe as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory agenciesOversee site operations including safety, scheduling, contractor coordination, inventory, and asset managementEnsure compliance with technical, environmental, and safety standardsProvide regular updates to leadership regarding project status, budget, and milestonesTravel to project sites as needed throughout the U.S.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline5+ years of project management experience within renewable energy, wastewater, utilities, ethanol, oil & gas, or industrial process industries5+ years of construction or field execution experience in related industriesProven ability to manage complex industrial projects from concept through completionStrong understanding of construction management principles and industrial manufacturing/process systemsExperience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and bid documentsBackground in scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and contract negotiationStrong leadership, communication, and client-facing skillsProficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction/project management softwarePMP certification preferredValid U.S. driver’s license and passport requiredMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipWhat’s Offered:Competitive compensation package based on experienceComprehensive benefits packageOpportunity to work on innovative renewable energy infrastructure projectsHigh-growth industry with long-term career advancement potentialCollaborative, entrepreneurial environment with strong technical teamsMeaningful work contributing to sustainability and clean energy initiativesRelocation assistance, if necessaryIdeal Backgrounds:Candidates with experience in the following industries are strongly encouraged to apply:Renewable Natural Gas (RNG)Biogas / Anaerobic DigestionWastewater TreatmentIndustrial UtilitiesEthanol / BiofuelsOil & GasIndustrial EPC ProjectsProcess ManufacturingHeavy Industrial Construction
