Director of FinanceA mission-driven nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Finance to join its leadership team.About the RoleReporting directly to the Vice President of Finance & CFO, the Director of Finance will play a key leadership role within the finance function. This position oversees 2 direct reports and partners closely with the CFO, Controller, and cross-functional teams across the organization.The role is responsible for both operational and strategic financial leadership, with a strong emphasis on reporting, compliance, and system/process improvements within a nonprofit environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee endowment accounting, treasury, and cash management functionsSupport construction and capital project accountingManage portfolio and investment reporting and analysisOversee contract administration and financial compliance processesStrengthen internal controls and ensure GAAP-compliant nonprofit reportingLead financial reporting, audit support, and financial analysisPartner with leadership on system enhancements and process improvementsProvide ad hoc financial analysis across departmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required5–8 years of progressive accounting/finance experienceNonprofit accounting experience strongly preferredExperience with endowments, treasury, and financial reportingFinancial Edge experience a plus (not required)Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredMBA a plus
