Corrosion Testing Specialist

Job Title: Corrosion Testing Specialist (Entry-Level)Location: Jackson, MIDuration: 12 Months contract with possible extensionsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field (or degree with 8–16 chemistry credits)Less than 1–3 years of experience (lab experience in college acceptable)Exposure to wet chemistry (titration, pH, conductivity, density, etc.)Basic knowledge of analytical instruments (spectroscopy)Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO17025/ISO14001) and ASTM/ISO methodsStrong MS Office skillsGood communication, analytical thinking, and time managementAbility to work independentlyResponsibilities:Perform physical and chemical testing with accuracy following lab standardsPrepare, document, and evaluate test resultsMaintain lab equipment, calibration, and validation recordsSupport lab operations, troubleshooting, and improvement initiativesEnsure safety compliance and proper PPE usageMaintain clean and organized lab environmentAssist with method validation (gage R&R) and cross-functional lab support
