Job DescriptionAssistant Project Manager - Commercial ConstructionA well-established and respected General Contractor is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support ongoing commercial construction projects and grow into a full Project Manager position. This is an ideal role for someone who has a solid foundation in project coordination and execution and is looking to take the next step in their construction career.Role OverviewThe Assistant Project Manager will work alongside Senior PMs and Superintendents on diverse commercial projects-ranging from ground-up builds to complex renovations. This is not an entry-level position; the ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the field or office and is ready to contribute meaningfully from day one while continuing to develop professionally.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in planning, coordination, and management of commercial construction projectsSupport document control including submittals, RFIs, and project correspondenceHelp with estimating, bid solicitation, and buyout as neededTrack project schedules, budgets, and change ordersParticipate in subcontractor coordination, site meetings, and quality controlCommunicate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignmentProvide reliable support to Project Managers and Superintendents on all active jobsPreferred Project ExperienceCommercial construction experienceExposure to higher education, hospitality, institutional, or diverse commercial projectsExperience with projects ranging from $1M-$20M (experience with larger is a plus)Ground-up construction experience strongly preferredQualifications2-4+ years of experience as a Junior Project Manager, Project Engineer, or APMStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlinesFamiliarity with construction software such as Procore or Bluebeam is a plusBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required if experience is strongWhat's OfferedCompetitive compensation based on experienceFull benefits including medical insurance, 401(k), and growth-based bonusesOpportunity to grow into a full Project Manager role within a supportive environmentExposure to complex and rewarding commercial work across multiple sectorsApply online or submit your Resume and Project List to hannah.behrens@gogpac.com OR Call/Text (605)601-5546All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
