Architectural Products Specialist - Metals

The Architectural Products Specialist will work with project teams to assist in the development of details and specifications associated with various decorative metal projects and will be responsible for the successful direction of projects through the effective collaboration of the ISEC Regional teams and outsourced metal fabricators.Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with outsourced fabricatorsAid ISEC teams with questions about metal types, finishes, assembly methodology and best practices. Maintain current information on industry practices, standards and certifications. Assist in engineering and purchasing strategy on decorative metal, including outsource pricing as needed. Participate in estimating, value engineering strategies and develop material/assembly details as requested.Assist in specific projects to analyze scope, schedule requirements, and coordinate engineering, purchasing and installation methods to effectively bring decorative metal projects within budget and on schedule.Monitor industry communications regarding price increases, lead time issues, effect of tariffs or any information which could affect ongoing or future projects.Maintain a database of decorative metal fabricators with contact information and services provided.Review purchasing process and oversee decorative metal fabrication procurement. Attend update meetings for new projects and assist the purchasing agent or project manager as necessary.Maintain a database of estimates and revisions per project. Provide manufacturer recommendations for project specific pricing. Develop execution plan for certain decorative metal projects with project team (Business Development, PM, PE, Purchasing).Review submitted details and specifications checklists on specific decorative metals projects.Communicate any conflicts between specifications and drawings while assembling a deviations log for use by project team.Ensure ISEC's commitments to core values and standards are maintained throughout the metal fabrication and installation process.Possible travel to regional offices, metal fabricator locations, and project locations.Other DutiesPlease note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
