Registrar - Cancer Care - Full Time (Mon-Fri, 8AM-5PM)

Job: RegistrarClassification: Hourly/Non-ExemptJob Category: 5 Administrative Support WorkersPosition SummaryOncology Clinic Registrar registers patients who come into the clinic for any type of treatment. They primarily report to the Patient Access Supervisor or Manager and work in a team environment alongside clerks and other Oncology Clinic Representatives. The Oncology Clinic Registrar will use excellent customer service and communication skills to obtain patient data and route patients to the appropriate area.Essential FunctionsWelcome all patients and visitors by greeting them in person, answering inquiries and directs them through the registration process.Prepares new patient chart packets in advance of the visit according to scheduled appointment times to ensure patient and staff time is efficiently utilized.Utilize an electronic medical record, multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier and scanner to process patients through the registration process.
