Job Description - Onsite Construction Project ManagerConstructure Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to oversee federal, commercial, and institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of construction project management experience and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, quality control, safety compliance, and client communications. This position may be based in the Richmond/Roanoke area or may involve travel to project sites throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to manage multiple projects while maintaining Constructure's commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementManage construction projects from award through final completion and closeout.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary.Coordinate project activities with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and government representatives.Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and submittals.Prepare and negotiate change orders.Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and project documentation.Field OperationsWork closely with Superintendents to ensure project execution aligns with schedule and quality requirements.Conduct regular site visits and project meetings.Resolve field issues promptly and effectively.Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project specifications.Client RelationsServe as the primary point of contact for project owners and stakeholders.Maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.Lead project progress meetings and provide regular updates.Address client concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Safety and QualityPromote Constructure's safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.Ensure adherence to project-specific Quality Control Plans.Support implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.Participate in safety inspections and project audits as required.Contract AdministrationReview and administer construction contracts.Manage subcontract agreements and purchase orders.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Maintain complete and accurate project records.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 10 years of construction project management experience.Experience with Federal Government projects including USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, VA, DHS, DoD, and other federal agencies.Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build projects.OSHA 30 Certification.PMP Certification.Quality Control Management certification.Experience managing commercial, institutional, or federal construction projects.Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar scheduling software.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Strong financial and cost management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.Security clearance or ability to obtain one.
