East Mississippi Correctional Facility located in Meridian, MS. is now hiring career-minded people to assist with securing the safety of our community while positively impacting the lives of those on the inside.Position SummaryReports to the warden. Responsible for ongoing facility review of mandated systems in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.Essential Functions Establish periodic and annual reviews of all facility training programs. Develop policies and procedures for facility compliance. Conduct regular reviews and inspections to ensure facility operations and programs are compliant with all applicable laws and agency policy. This regular self-monitoring will be separate from inspections conducted by other agencies, including MDOC and Correction audits. Develop and implement procedures to ensure that facility operations and programs are compliant with the American Correctional Association (ACA) standards. Assist facility staff in preparing for ACA reviews. Assimilate and distribute monthly and quarterly reports detailing facility operations to MDOC and MTC Corporate Office. Ensure appropriate staffing levels for designated security posts, comprehensive surveillance of inmates, and other ancillary functions as necessary. Warden’s designee to oversee the Rules Infraction Board Process. Assistant facility inspector. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed. Provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques. Maintain accountability of staff, inmates and property; adhere to safety practices. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.Education And Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years directly related experience required. Valid driver’s license in the state of Mississippi with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.Post Hire RequirementsMust successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
