Contract Project Manager – Salesforce Implementation (Raleigh)
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead a Salesforce implementation initiative over a 6-month engagement. This individual will serve as the primary project lead, responsible for driving the full lifecycle of the Salesforce deployment — from requirements gathering and vendor coordination through configuration, testing, training, and go-live. The ideal candidate brings deep Salesforce project experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex CRM implementations on time and within scope. Scope & Operating Context: Reports to: Head of Sales Operations Cross-functional partners: Sales, Marketing, Finance Systems: Salesforce and Bullhorn Environment: Fast-paced, build-and-scale services organization Key Responsibilities: Own and lead the end-to-end Salesforce implementation, from discovery and requirements gathering through go-live Define and manage project scope, timeline, deliverables, and success metrics Partner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Operations, Finance) to translate business needs into system requirements Lead process mapping and design to align Salesforce with sales workflows and reporting needs Oversee data migration, system configuration, and integrations (as applicable) Identify risks and proactively manage issues, dependencies, and changes in scope Partner with Sales Operations and key stakeholders to design and build reporting and analytics that support business visibility and decision-making Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management to ensure strong adoption Establish scalable processes and documentation for ongoing system management post-implementation Qualifications: 5+ years of project management experience, with direct ownership of Salesforce implementations Demonstrated experience leading a full-cycle Salesforce rollout (not just supporting a phase) Strong understanding of Salesforce Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors Proven ability to deliver complex projects on specific timelines Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders Highly organized, proactive, and execution-focused Preferred Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, PMP, or similar) Experience in a high-growth, evolving, or private equity-backed environment Background in Sales Operations or Revenue Operations Success Metrics/Deliverables: Salesforce has been successfully implemented and is live across the organization Core sales processes fully mapped, configured, and adopted in the system Clean, accurate data migrated into Salesforce Strong user adoption and positive stakeholder feedback Documentation and processes are in place for ongoing support and scalability
