Security Systems Architect – St. Louis, Missouri

Position OverviewThe Security Systems Architect sits at the intersection of sales, engineering, and operations, partnering closely with Account Managers and project teams to design comprehensive physical security solutions.This role is responsible for translating client requirements into technically sound, scalable, and deployable security systems. The ideal candidate understands both the engineering side of security systems and the practical realities of field deployment. Location: St. Louis, MO (Hybrid / Travel as required).Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture & System DesignDesign enterprise physical security architectures including:Access control systemsVideo surveillance platformsIntrusion detection systemsSupporting network infrastructureDevelop scalable and secure system designs aligned with client requirements and industry standardsProvide technical leadership on complex security deploymentsPre-Sales EngineeringPartner with Account Managers during the sales process to develop client solutionsReview RFPs, specifications, and project documentation to determine solution eligibility and technical approachTranslate customer requirements into system designs and project scopesBuild detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentationTechnical Project SupportProvide technical guidance to operations teams throughout project executionAssist with system configuration, programming, and commissioning when requiredSupport troubleshooting and system optimization during implementationHelp ensure solutions are designed for efficient installation and long-term maintainabilityCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with sales, engineering, and project management teamsAct as a technical resource for both internal teams and clientsSupport continuous improvement of security design standards and best practicesRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in the physical security industryExperience designing enterprise security systems including:Access controlVideo surveillanceIntrusion detectionExperience reviewing RFPs, technical specifications, and security drawingsStrong understanding of security system architecture and integrationExperience building BOMs and system designsAbility to collaborate across technical and business teamsStrong communication and documentation skillsPreferred ExperienceExperience with enterprise physical security platforms and manufacturers such as:Lenel OnGuardLenelS2 ElementsAvigilonSoftware House CCURE 9000Milestone XProtectOpenEye Web Servicesi-PROHanwha VisionAxis CommunicationsAdditional Preferred ExperienceKnowledge of networking principles related to security systemsExperience supporting system commissioning or programmingIndustry certifications such as ASIS PSP, CPP, or manufacturer certificationsAbout TSITSI Global Companies is a leading technology integrator delivering advanced AV, Structured Cabling, and Security Solutions to commercial, enterprise, healthcare, education, and government clients.
