Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care on a medical-surgical (MS) unit. This contract opportunity is designed for skilled travelers who are confident working in diverse acute care environments, including Med/Surg, PCU, and coronary care settings.Schedule/Hours:12-hour night shifts, 7p–7aWeekend, holiday, and call shifts required13-week contract commitmentQualifications:Active New York RN license (required upon start)Graduate of an accredited School of NursingBLS certification (can be obtained within 3 months of hire)Minimum 1 successful prior travel RN assignment (first-time travelers not eligible)Previous hospital RN experience preferredExperience in coronary careProficient in floating to both Med/Surg and PCU unitsDemonstrated thorough understanding of nursing principles and ability to provide high-quality patient careResponsibilities:Assess and address a range of patient needs, including clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual supportDeliver safe and compassionate care, employing lifts and mobility aids as necessary to ensure patient and staff safetyRemain calm and solutions-oriented in high-pressure situations, utilizing strong problem-solving abilitiesExhibit leadership through effective prioritization, delegation, and at times step in as charge nurseMaintain clear, professional communication—both written and verbal—with patients, families, and colleaguesDesired Skills:Exceptional interpersonal and organizational abilitiesProven capacity to recognize and manage safety concernsCreative thinker who excels in team-based environmentsIf you're looking for a dynamic setting where your talents can make a difference and you meet the outlined criteria, apply today to embark on this rewarding assignment.
