Vivarium Support Technician I - Cage Wash

Job Responsibilities Cage Wash - Cleans and sterilizes cages, equipment, supplies, rooms (primary and secondary enclosures), etc. Prepares refuse for disposal or incineration.Equipment Operation - Able to operate pressure washer and industrial cage washers, perform and document functions performed in the appropriate log, and clean and maintain all cages, automatic water lines, and other related equipment.Housekeeping - Completes daily and periodic housekeeping of assigned areas which may include bathrooms, locker rooms, and surgery spaces within the vivarium. Restocks and maintains appropriate inventory levels of supplies in assigned areas.Safety - Monitors first aid kits, eye wash stations and functioning emergency exit on cage wash equipment. Monitors and maintains washers and sterilizers in proper working condition.Supplies and Equipment - Delivers clean and/or dirty equipment and cages to and from cage wash as required.
