Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles using hand and power tools. Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes to specifications. Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps; cuts or bores holes as needed prior to installation. Inspects piping systems, tests for pressure and leaks, and reports or resolves issues. Coordinates with the manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installations to minimize disruption to operations."Manufacturing work is fast paced and physical.
