Process Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Process Specialist to ensure optimal molding processes and efficient production. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in troubleshooting and mold setups to maintain processing requirements and improve production outcomes. Your proficiency in plastic injection molding and team leadership will be critical to our success. Responsibilities Optimize molding processes to meet or exceed productivity guidelines, focusing on minimizing scrap and maximizing machine utilization. Directly influence production outcomes by developing, training, and coaching production team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards by assigning and directing production teams, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Drive process improvements by coordinating with technicians and material handlers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, supporting the production schedule. Maintain tooling and equipment to meet production demands, ensuring timely repairs and preventive maintenance. Champion quality control by supporting production start-ups, addressing quality defects, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Promote a positive work environment by providing leadership, communication, and motivation to team members, fostering teamwork and accountability. Qualifications Required Skills Demonstrated experience as a Process Technician or similar role in a manufacturing setting. In-depth knowledge of injection molding processes and tool/mold setups. Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation. Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities focused on injection molding. Preferred Skills Familiarity with a variety of injection molding machines. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with IQMS or similar systems for downtime and scrap tracking.
