Network Engineer Manager

Primary ResponsibilityThis position will be responsible, as a member of the IT network team, for support and maintenance of the Westrock global network, focused mainly in Conway and Little Rock, Arkansas and Concord, North Carolina. Responsibilities include working with other network engineers on strategic designs, participating in upgrade and system implementation projects, performing day-to-day configuration updates, managing on-site intranet and site-to-site equipment (including IPSEC, SD-WAN), monitoring performance, providing proactive system and network upgrades, assisting other IT administrators, maintaining an asset inventory, ensuring support contracts, contacting vendors for equipment failures, and acting as a resource for escalated user support cases.TravelOccasionally travel to facilities in Little Rock, Conway, Concord, and potentially other sites for acquisitions or equipment located worldwide may be required. International travel is possible, but not likely.QualificationsBA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline.Ability to attain Fortinet NSE 6 and NSE 7 certifications.Fortinet knowledge required.Experience with zero-trust network design a plus.Knowledge of Cisco, SolarWinds, Palo Alto, DDI, Azure cloud networking, and manufacturing networks (IS/OS segregation) a plus.Ability to document and diagram detailed configurations for advanced LAN and WAN solutions.Ability to install and administer systems to protect network security.Ability to plan and deploy advanced network communications solutions, including wireless.Ability to assess and monitor a complex network to ensure service as designed.Ability to perform advanced network communications troubleshooting.Experience Required3–5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting multi-protocol networks.3–5 years of hands-on experience administrating firewalls.3–5 years of experience managing wireless networks.VMware vSwitching experience.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Excellent documentation abilities.Vendor management experience.Availability on an on-call basis and willingness to work after-hours.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Self-starter capable of excelling in a team environment.Equal Opportunity Employer / Vets / DisabledJ-18808-Ljbffr
