Sr. Accountant/Data Analyst
We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant/Data Analyst to join our team in Santa Fe Springs, California. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data analytics and financial operations to support strategic decision-making and optimize business processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the wholesale distribution industry.Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain accurate weekly sales projection models using advanced Excel techniques to support leadership in forecasting growth.• Create and manage interactive dashboards in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to provide clear insights into performance trends.• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to generate monthly reports on business performance and trends.• Conduct data mining to uncover sales opportunities, operational efficiencies, and areas for revenue improvement.• Review and audit credit card statements and general ledger entries to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Assess billing systems and pricing terms to verify alignment with contracts and profitability goals.• Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to translate complex data into actionable strategies.• Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations for corrective actions.• Support monthly reconciliation processes to ensure financial accuracy across accounts.• Facilitate cross-functional communication to enhance data-driven decision-making processes.• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.• Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities, including pivot tables, nested formulas, macros, and complex modeling.• Demonstrated experience in designing dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and interpret large-scale data.• Familiarity with financial systems and processes, including accounts payable and receivable.• Knowledge of data mining techniques and variance analysis methodologies.• Excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate complex findings effectively.• At least 3 years of experience in financial operations or data analytics.• MUST have foundation in accounting!
