Assistant Professor of Social Work
Position SummaryFaculty - Tenure/Tenure Track position at the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the Department of Social Work.ResponsibilitiesTeach 12 credit hours per semester across the BSW curriculum.Participate actively in the department's CSWE Reaffirmation process.Provide academic and professional advisement to BSW students.Participate in university and community service activities.Develop and implement an active research agenda.Demonstrate commitment to the BSW Program's mission and values.QualificationsAn MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program.Minimum of two years post-master's social work practice experience in social services settings.LMSW or LCSW, eligible for licensing in Arkansas.Experience working with diverse populations.Minimum of two years college teaching experience, preferably in a BSW or MSW program, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.Deep understanding of generalist practice baccalaureate social work education and current CSWE accreditation standards (2022 EPAS) preferred.Required Application DocumentsCover letter / Letter of ApplicationCurriculum VitaeStatement of Teaching PhilosophyProof of social work licensureUnofficial or Official transcripts (at least three most recent)List of three professional references (name, email, business title)Optional DocumentsCopy of current social work license with expiration date.SalaryCommensurate with education and experience.BenefitsEligible for university benefits.EEO StatementThe University of Arkansas is an equal opportunity institution.
