Reliability Engineer

We have an opening for a Reliability Engineer based out of our Houston, TX location. Reporting to the Process and Reliability Manager, the Reliability Engineer performs the RCA process and effectively manages the investigation process while ensuring compliance with a structured approach across the Company. This individual's primary responsibilities are to help identify reliability improvement opportunities, facilitate a continuous improvement process, and provide continual improvement to the Company's fleet of existing equipment. The incumbent meets the specific accountabilities of this position, in part, through the efforts of the Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance departments.Responsibilities also include:* Investigate the root cause of equipment incidents and document the detailed fact-based findings.* Conduct regular reliability reviews with all stakeholders.* Identify technology and process improvement opportunities to improve reliability, reduce costs, and provide mechanisms to prioritize initiatives.* Prepare and deliver monthly reports to the Process and Reliability Manager detailing the results from the Root Cause Analysis effort.* Maintain documentation of all investigations performed and digitally file in a manner that facilitates analysis of results to recognize trends regarding the performance of downhole drilling motors.* Work with the Process and Reliability Manager, the Engineering department, and the Operations department to develop verification test processes for Company equipment.* Occasionally assist with verification of directional drilling equipment as it is prepared for field installations.* Work within the Company's health and safety program within the RCA process and the manufacturing department to minimize unsafe acts and conditions and to prevent workplace accidents and incidents.* Assist other departments with various projects when time permits.* Perform all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in the Employee and Corporate HSE Handbooks.* Perform duties according to the Company's quality system procedures and work instructions.The successful candidate will have an Engineering or technical degree with relatable work experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record of creative problem solving and technical innovation. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office platforms and have outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and delegate responsibilities to efficiently complete projects.
