School Bus / Transportation MonitorGatesville ISDPrimary Purpose:Ride buses and help driver ensure safe and orderly transportation of students with disabilities.Qualifications:Special Knowledge/Skills:Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructionsAbility to communicate effectively with othersAbility to operate safety equipment and adaptive equipmentAbility to manage student behaviorAbility to work well with children with disabilitiesExperience:NoneMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Student ManagementSupervise students as they board and exit the bus and cross the street following established safety procedures.Instruct students on safe entering, exiting, and riding rules and regulations.Manage student behavior and report student discipline problems in a timely manner to appropriate administrator.Communicate with drivers and the transportation director regarding student behavior while on bus.SafetyOperate equipment according to established safety procedures.
